Queer Salsa is fundraising with mareas community a family run grassrotts mutual aid project lef by generations of Cuban women based in London.

Mareas acts as a logitical bridge between the diaspora with trusted community networks in Cuba - helping get funds, medicines and essential supplies to where they’re needed.

Cuba is currently facing a deepening economic and energy crisis: shortages of food, medicine and fuel, rising living costs and prolonged blackouts that disrupt everyday life and access to basic services.

For this fundrasier, Mareas is working directly with Translucidos a trans led mutual-aid network providing material, health, wellbeing and financial support to Cubas trans and gender nonconforming community, adapting as needs change on the ground.

100% OF PROCEEDS FROM THE NIGHT WILL GO DIRECTLY TO THIS WORK.
